HI PLAST – SRA

Description

Hi Plast-SRA  liquid admixture specifically designed to reduce drying shrinkage and the potential for subsequent cracking in concrete and mortar. Rather than functioning as an expansive agent,       Hi Plast-SRA acts by reducing the surface tension of pore water.

USES

Hi Plast-SRA may be used in any concrete but provides the most value when used for interior slab-on-grade construction where the potential for cracking and curling due to drying shrinkage is prevalent and undesirable. It can be used in ready mix, precast, and prestress non air-entrained concrete, in addition to mortar, grout and wet mix shotcrete.

ADVANTAGES

Typically, shrinkage may be reduced up to 50%, depending on the cement used.

Reduces cracking caused by shrinkage.

Improves durability, which reduces maintenance and repair costs

Reduces the potential of cracking due to drying shrinkage in fully and partially restrained concrete

 PACKING

Hi Plast-SCA  is available in  210 lt HDPE Barrels.

DIRECTIONS

Dosage

Add Hi Plast-SRA after all admixtures have been introduced into the mix. It is also recommended to allow enough mixing time before the addition of water and the superplasticizer to ensure concrete homogeneity. The dosage of Hi Plast SRA will be dependent on the desired drying shrinkage and the reduction in drying shrinkage required. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that drying shrinkage testing be performed to determine the optimum dosage for each application and each set of materials. To reduce shrinkage, a dosage of 1% to 2% by weight of cement should be used. In most cases, the recommended dosage needed to optimize the effect of Hi Plast  SRA is 2% by weight of cement.

Hi Plast-SRA is compatible with all water-reducers, mid-range water-reducers, high-range water-reducers, set retarders, accelerators, silica fume, and corrosion inhibitors.

SHEL LIFE

It has a minimum shelf life of 12 months. Depending on storage conditions, the shelf life may be greater than stated.
