Description
HI PLAST – A is an accelerating and water reducing admixture for concrete and does not contain chloride or added chloride ions. It improves properties of plastic and hardened concrete, provides a significant improvement in early stiffening and setting characteristics, improved workability and decreased bleeding and segregation.
USES
Typical applications include Cold weather concreting, precast concrete, Structural and plain concreting, concrete for repairs, mortars for brickwork.
ADVANTAGES
Improves workability and provides denser concrete
Produces exceptionally high early strengths
Accelerated setting gives added protection against early age frost attack
Minimizes bleeding and segregation
Effective concrete at low temperature
Increases protection for reinforcement in concrete

DIRECTIONS
Dosage
The Typical dosage range for Hi Plast-A is 2.0 to 3.0 litres per 100 kg cement . The optimum dosage of Hi Plast-A to meet specific requirements should always be determined by trials using the materials and conditions that will be experienced in use. It should be added to the initial batch water of the concrete mixture. Do not dispense onto dry cement.
An overdose of double the recommended amount of Hi Plast-A will result in a slight increase in initial acceleration, but will not materially alter the ultimate strength or characteristics of the cured concrete or mortar.
Curing
As with all structural concrete, good curing practice should be maintained. Water spray, wet hessian or a Hi Cure spray applied curing membrane should be used.
SHEL LIFE
Minimum shelf life of 12 months in unopened containers under normal warehouse conditions.
SAFETY
During use, avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear protective gloves and eye protection when handling the product. In case of contact with the eyes rinse with plenty of fresh water and seek medical advice. Hi Plast-A is non flammable. But, should be stored away from combustible materials.
